Privacy

Your information, handled like it matters.

Health information is the most personal kind there is, and in a town this size, privacy is not a policy document, it is a daily practice. Here is ours, in plain language.

What we collect, and why

We collect what your care requires and nothing more: contact details, health history relevant to treatment, clinical notes your practitioners write, and the insurance numbers needed for direct billing. Nothing is collected for marketing, and nothing is ever sold, traded, or shared with anyone who does not need it for your care.

Who sees your chart

Only the practitioners involved in your care, and the front desk to the minimum degree booking and billing require. Shared care between disciplines happens only with your explicit consent, every time. Counselling records are held separately with additional protections, and appointments are never discussed where they can be overheard, including with the person who asks kindly about you at the market.

How it is stored

Records live in an encrypted practice management system hosted in Canada, protected by access controls and audit logs. Paper is the exception, not the rule, and what exists lives in a locked cabinet in a locked room. We comply with BC's Personal Information Protection Act and each practitioner's college record-keeping standards, which run stricter than the law.

Your rights, exercised easily

You may see your records, request corrections, ask who has accessed them, and withdraw consents you gave earlier. Ask at the desk or write to hello@themorrowclinic.ca; we answer within 30 days, usually much faster. Complaints can also go to BC's Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner at any time.

This website

The site sets no advertising trackers and runs no analytics that identify you. Booking happens in a separate, secured system; nothing you read here is recorded against your name. And plainly, once more: this site is a portfolio concept by Kootenay Made Digital, so it collects nothing at all.
